about

A time to Remember

The story we find ourselves in: Seeds, flourishing and multiplication

Some fell on good earth, and produced a harvest beyond his wildest dreams. — a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.

The seed cast on good earth is the person who hears and takes in the News, and then produces a harvest beyond his wildest dreams.
(from Matt 13, Mark 4, Luke 8)

// Harmony //

The seeds fall on welcoming soil.
Flourishing. Wholeness. Purpose. Fruitfulness.

May we never leave this good soil.

The seeds fall on welcoming soil.
When we are reconciled to God and each other, the callous and hardened areas of our hearts are continuously restored to hear God’s whispers. We can live with a deeply anchored rhythm of rest.
Our hearts become welcoming soil for God’s words and purposes to flourish; and our lives will be made whole.

Time of Silent Prayer and Reflection

// Rhythm //

As we start to close this time of reflection; and practicing the rhythms of grace; you are welcome to partake in communion.

// Melody //

So, what does all this mean? If God has determined to stand with us, tell me, who then could ever stand against us? For God has proved his love by giving us his greatest treasure, the gift of his Son. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all,[a] he certainly won’t withhold from us anything else he has to give. (Romans 8:31-33 (TPT))

On the night when he was betrayed, the Lord Jesus took some bread and gave thanks to God for it. Then he broke it in pieces and said, “This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.” For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are announcing the Lord’s death until he comes again. (1 Cor. 11:23-26 (NLT))

// Closing //

Want aan U behoort die koninkryk, en die krag, en die heerlikheid,
tot in ewigheid, Amen.

You’re in charge!
You can do anything you want!
You’re ablaze in beauty!
Yes. Yes. Yes.
~ Matthew 6 (MSG)

lyrics

Laat my nooit die grond verlaat nie.
Laat my in U skadu bly.

Gee dat elke aardse vreugde en vrees,
eindelik nietig word vir my.

Elke afdraai paadjie ken ek.
Elke keer het ek verdwaal.

Elke keer het u my iewers kom haal.
Maak dit Heer, die laaste maal.

Elke dag is n gedagte.
Elke kamer net gehuur.

Elke aardse droom van rykdom en roem,
net n skadu teen die muur.

Wat ek is, is net genade.
Wat ek het, is net geleen.

Eintlik smag ek na U waters van rus.
Lei my Heer vanaand daarheen.
