The story we find ourselves in: Seeds, rocks and hardness

Other seeds fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seeds sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plants soon wilted under the hot sun, and since they didn't have deep roots, they died.

The seed cast in the gravel--this is the person who hears and instantly responds with enthusiasm. But there is no soil of character, and so when the emotions wear off and some difficulty arrives, there is nothing to show for it.

Rock. Hardened ground. Merciless sun. No moisture, no alleviation

The seeds fall on shallow ground. They can’t shoot deep roots because of underlying rocks and the hard ground underneath. The warm merciless sun hardens the ground. There is no moisture or respite to bring alleviation.

What are the hard things that hinders God’s word and whispers to penetrate your heart?
